"It's a wonderful partnership, and we share a common mission," says Jan Young, Executive Director of MFB New England. "It's all about serving in the name of Jesus."
Provision Ministry finds all sorts of food, new clothing, school supplies, and basic needs items and then gets them to nonprofits that distribute them. This year, Provision Ministry is on track to distribute food and new essential items valued at over $28 million to their partners in the Northeast part of the United States, according to Tom Slicklen, President and Founder of Provision Ministry. MFB New England is fortunate to be one of those partners.
"Partnering with Midwest Food Bank has been a tremendous blessing. By working together, I believe we have been able to expand our reach," says Tom. "Our missions are strategically aligned, and we love working with everyone at MFB."
While MFB primarily distributes food, other items like new shoes, hygiene, and cleaning items are always needed. Provision Ministry started in 2017 with a mission of equipping nonprofit organizations and engaging corporations, churches, foundations, and individuals to understand their communities' needs better.
