Up and running is the best way to describe Midwest Food Bank Pennsylvania. This location opened in October of 2020 and is already serving 50 organizations in New York and will have its first distribution of food in Pennsylvania at the end of January 2021.
"We are grateful for a steady stream of volunteers who have helped us get established," says Lori Renne, Executive Director of MFB Pennsylvania.
As an organization, MFB depends on volunteers. Regular volunteers help in so many ways - warehouse management (thanks to Jim and Kevin), driving trucks (thanks to Walt and Kevin), and bookkeeping, (thanks to Lorraine).
Also in the volunteer mix - college students, families, and even a group of young ice skaters. All of these volunteers and many more have been played a part in establishing MFB Pennsylvania.
"We are also very thankful for the monetary donations," says Lori. "Because of generous donors we have been able to successfully build out operations and obtain much needed for to meet the growing need."
Please contact MFB Pennsylvania to learn more about how you can have an impact on those struggling with food insecurity. Sharing your time, talents, and gifts can bring hope to others.
